The day of the event finally arrived on a sunny morning in Madrid. It was held at Milk Studio, a nice, open warehouse with white walls that contrasted well with the art and designs that we painted for Nivea.
At
half past 11 the bloggers began to file in and began to look at the
artwork. The 9 canvases we painted covered the walls and out limited
edition designed bottles were everywhere. Many classic Nivea beach balls
could be seen scattered all over the floor, it looked like a creative
playground. Slowly
but surely, the room began to fill up and Taquen, representing FTW for
the event, became the center of attention. He explained the creative
process behind the designs and paint to the visiting bloggers. "SoapTwo
should be here, I don't know how to smile," he said jokingly. SoapTwo
usually does the public speaking, but having just recently relocated to
the US, Taquen has had to step up. After
the video, the bloggers now had to start with their own task: design
their own labels. Each had a unique style and tried to incorporate
somehow their own logos into the work. The event went smoothly, and it
was really fun to watch the bloggers out of their element taking on a
new challenge. To sum it up, it was a great event in which a lot of
creativity was involved with an incredible outcome, the designs the
bloggers made were great. After
designing their new labels, there was one surprise left, the bloggers
would have the chance to paint their own canvas using the materials we
used: spraypaint, markers, and a hint of chaos. A great event we were proudly a part of. Special thanks to: Cristina Cobían, Marta Úbeda and Palmira of Porter Novelli Nivea España And of course to all the incredible bloggers that showed up for the event! Our latest project involved Nivea. The company contacted us through Porter Novelli, a multinational advertising agency, seeking two graffiti artists to design a limited edition bottle of their famous Body Milk cream. After completing the bottle design we decorated the space where the official launch would be held with original artwork made exclusively for our client. Nivea is far from being the first brand to collaborate with street artists, but a unique touch was having a relatively small amount of invitations handed out for the event. These invitations were exclusively for relevant fashion bloggers throughout Spain. While at the event the bloggers enjoyed designing their own bottles and blogged about them. It is no secret that social media has gained in importance in recent years and blogging has especially gained momentum in the fashion/beauty sector. The bloggers invited to this event have become fashion authorities, with thousands of registered followers plus many anonymous readers. The bloggers invited to the event were:
